SQL Maestro Group is happy to announce a release of PHP Generator 18.3.0.3, a GUI frontend that allows you to build high-quality and feature-rich data-driven web applications for your database in minutes. There are versions for MySQL, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLite, Firebird, DB2, SQL Anywhere and MaxDB.

Please find below a detailed description of the most interesting features added in this version. Other new features, corrections, and fixes can be found in the Changelog.

  • A possibility of displaying records of lookup data sources in the popup window has been implemented (for example, click any country name in the Country lookup column to see information about this country).

  • The "Generate modified pages only" option has been added in "Generation options" section at the last step of the wizard. It allows to generate only new and modified pages on pressing the Ready button. This should increase the performance for projects containing a large number of pages.

  • A possibility of providing separate styles for the printer-friendly version and export to PDF has been added. These styles are saved to user_print.css and user_pdf.css files accordingly. The "User-defined styles" window has been modified in order to support the new functionality.

  • It is now possible to define the maximum upload file size in the Upload File to Folder and Upload Image to Folder editors.

  • From now you can define a filter condition for the Multiple select editor based on values retrieved from a database. The variables like %CURRENT_USER_ID% can be used.

  • Export to PDF supports now for PHP 7.1 and 7.2 versions.

  • Group editor becomes accessible directly from Page List (via an ellipsis button).

  • From now you can enable/disable the Selection filter in the Page Abilities.
