Service Center for MySQL allows you to back up database structure or/and data from a remote or a local MySQL database to SQL script with an optional opportunity to compress it by an internal zip archiver.

The Add Task wizard also provides an ability to restore database structure or/and data from SQL script, either compressed with zip or uncompressed. This feature is intended as the reverse operation for the data backup feature.

If you wish to restore structure or/and data from the script back to MySQL database, you should create a new task specified as the backup or restore task in the Add Task Wizard. After the task is added, you can execute it explicitly or set its options to execute it by schedule.

Note that creating the timely backups is essential to the successful backup-and-restore strategy.
